About Us
Neurodiversity Published is a nonprofit organization that aims to educate young minds about neurodiversity and promote a more inclusive world. We believe that every brain works differently, and these differences should be celebrated, not misunderstood. By introducing children with developing minds to topics such as dyslexia, autism, and other forms of neurodiversity at an early age, we hope to reduce the stigma surrounding neurodivergent individuals and help everyone feel seen and valued. Through short children’s books featuring vibrant, colorful drawings, relatable stories, and age-appropriate explanations, we hope to make learning about neurodiversity both fun and engaging.
Neurodiversity Published is also a student-led club at the Lawrenceville School in New Jersey. The club brings together students who are passionate about advocacy, writing, and drawing.
Nicole Li
Westchester, NY
Nicole Li is the leading founder of Neurodiversity Published and a senior at the Lawrenceville School. Inspired by her own experiences learning about neurodivergence and recognizing the misconceptions that often surround it, Nicole is passionate about making complex scientific concepts accessible to young readers and to underprivileged communities.
At Lawrenceville, Nicole has written articles for her school’s science journals and publications since her freshman year. She has also written a paper on the genetics and precision medicine in familial hypercholesterolemia to be published in a notable high school peer-reviewed research journal. Building on her passion for biomedical research, Nicole is pursuing an internship at Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health.
Through Neurodiversity Published, Nicole hopes to inspire empathy and celebrate all unique ways of learning and thinking to help create a more inclusive world.
Eleanor Wang
Hong Kong, China
Eleanor Wang is a co-founder and artist behind Neurodiversity Published, an initiative dedicated to promoting neurodiversity awareness through inclusive and accessible children’s literature. She believes that every child deserves to see differences celebrated and hopes her work helps young readers understand that different ways of thinking make our world stronger, kinder, and more creative.
A senior at The Lawrenceville School, Eleanor served as a Diversity Representative, where she advocates for inclusion in her community. She is passionate about expanding access to education and volunteers to bring educational summer camps to students in rural China, creating opportunities for children to explore learning in engaging and supportive environments.
Through her writing and illustrations, Eleanor hopes to inspire empathy, celebrate diverse perspectives, and encourage children to embrace both their own unique strengths and those of others.
